I was getting ready for the day when an old Southern gospel song came to my mind, Jesus On The Mainline. Have you ever heard that one? I got so blessed singing it, that I ended up listening and singing to every version I could find on youtube.
Jesus on the mainline……tell Him what you want!
His line ain’t ever busy…..tell Him what you want!
Call Him up, call Him up…..tell Him what you want!
If you want salvation…..tell Him what you want!
If you want the Holy Ghost….tell Him what you want!
If you want a healing….tell Him what you want!
Call Him up, call Him up….tell Him what you want!
If you want a little more power…tell Him what you want!
If you want a victory….tell Him what you want!
If you want to be set free….tell Him what you want!
Jesus on the mainline…..tell Him what you want!
How do we do that? Just tell Him. He’s listening.

This afternoon as I was coming out of Super One, a young woman, possibly in her late 20’s or early 30’s, approached me for fifty cents. She proceeded to tell me this rather long story about how she found herself short of the money needed to catch the bus. The story involved “escaping from the Iron Range” and an “abusive relationship, being new to Duluth, walking to the store from the zoo, and it was cold.”
As I looked at her and listened, I was praying. I frankly did not believe her story, but I still ended up giving her a dollar bill. I believe God gives us discernment when we ask, and I felt she was being dishonest, so I did not offer her a ride either.
She followed me outside the store and hesitated. As I walked to my car, I expected her to go back and pick up her groceries to catch the bus. Instead, she walked across the parking lot between cars, over to the liquor store where she got into a car and the driver took off. I was right.
There were no groceries and no bus. So why did I still give her the money when I felt something was not quite right?
Because she’s somebody’s child……..
Because she’s somebody’s child and God still loves her. And I will pray for her because even though I don’t know her name or her real circumstances, God does.

I’m excited to be working on my new cd, All I Hear.
Beyond the chatter, beyond the noise, beyond the confusion…..what do you hear?
I hear Him. He’s coming soon. love and prayers from Cindi
This past year 2016, this site saw 3139 hits from a total of 39 countries. I know that’s only by the grace of God.
For two years I’ve been posting about each song, each cd, how the music came to be……then I thought it was done. Eventually I deleted all the previous posts and left just the music. I thought, well, it’s not about me anyway. It’s about the words and the songs God has given me.
But the music isn’t done. It just keeps coming. I have new songs I’ve recorded and new songs to be recorded. I’m not sure where this site is going, but I always said, as long as He gives me something to say or sing, I will be here.
I hope you will be, too. love & prayers from Cindi
Today I am thankful for:
This morning I got to sit with my mom in church, and worship the Lord.
This afternoon I watched the movie, War Room, for the second time, and took notes.
This evening I enjoyed the gospel bluegrass music at a concert at our church.
Tonight I will fall asleep, resting in the arms of my Savior.
It doesn’t get much better than this. 🙂 love & prayers from Cindi
